Last minute booking. This motel (outside room entrances) is very close to the Cedar Point entrance and is ideal for those spending 2 days at the park. Located in an older part of Sandusky that is a little run down but still seemed safe. There may be restaurants nearby other than McDonald's, but not sure. There are many restuarants and hotels/motels on US 250, which is a few miles away. If nearby restaurants are important, you may want to book a hotel in south Sandusky. Check-in was fast. The room was clean. The outdoor pool is nothing special but is available until 11pm. The continental breakfast was well stocked with cereal, waffles, the usual. 2 complaints that are not the fault of the hotel: We had a non-smoking room but seemed that guests in other rooms were smoking in their bathrooms hoping the exhaust fan would take care of the smoke...it didn't. The other thing is there are railroad tracks nearby and the trains started going non-stop after 6am.

Myself, my daughter, and my mother traveled here for a weekend getaway to cedar point. Was one of the closest hotels to cedar point which was very nice! The Front Desk attendants were very nice and let us check-in at noon. The grounds were kept very clean and well groomed. Went into the room and it was very clean and put together. The room had a stale smell to it but nothing that twenty minutes with the door open couldn't solve. The hotel was very busy that weekend but everyone was quite and I was able to sleep very well, had an overall great experience and would stay here again! The only thing I would recommend would be to have microwaves and refrigerators in the room, I wanted to bring my leftovers from tgi friday with me but ha nothing to keep them in.

we stayed 3 nights sep 12-15, 2008. First of all We didn't expect much but when we saw room and bathroom we were surprised. Everything was so clean. There was hair dryer , iron and alot of napkins but no microwave,Refrigirator . we really liked it. it's very near to cedarpoint.

No frills hotel, If your budget is low and your standards are lower, this is an OK hotel. We were out the door at 8:00 am, and didn't return till 11:00 pm. Our heads hit the pillow, and we repeated again the next day. The other guest were a little rowdy at night, but we were so tired, we fell fast asleep. The continental breakfast is hardly worth stopping for. If you are heading to Cedar Point, better to stop at the McDonalds. Better to load-up on McD's fat/carbs/protein at ordinary prices than CP's higher prices. I probably would not stay here again, I'd go a little further away

We were pleasantly surprised at how well our stay was. I am a very particular person but I have to say the room was very clean, the beds were great, there were plenty of towels (and they were actually soft), the water pressure & temperature of the shower was excellent, the AC worked well, and the front desk staff were polite. Not too much to complain about except the continental breakfast didn't have much to offer (but what can you expect for the low price we paid!). Overall, we were very satisfied. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Cedar Point.
